The mission of the Manufacturing Materials & Metallurgy Committee of the International Gas Turbine Institute of ASME is to provide a forum for the orderly dissemination of technical information as it relates to the development, processing, manufacturing, and use of materials in gas turbine power plants.

The Committee also strives to promote high professional excellence and good fellowship. Membership on the committee is open to interested members of the technical community. Those interested in membership should contact the Committee Chair or Vice Chair. The Committee meets during the IGTI conferences in June and in the fall.

The Committee focuses upon coatings and base materials, including their repair, manufacture and durability during service. All uses of gas turbines are addressed. The Committee therefore seeks analytical, technical, and experimental information upon the development, processing, refurbishment and durability of gas turbine materials and components.
