The purpose of the Electric Power Committee (formerly the Electric Utilities & Cogeneration Committee) is to promote the exchange of information about the operation and application of gas turbines within the electric utility industry; cooperate with other interested groups; and sponsor technical sessions on electric utility operation and application of gas turbines at the International Gas Turbine Institute's annual TURBO EXPO, the American Power Conference, the International Joint Power Generation Conference and other meetings or conferences as agreed to by the Committee.
