The mission of the Controls, Diagnostics & Instrumentation Committee is to foster the dissemination of information related to the development, design, operation and maintenance of control, diagnostic systems and instrumentation systems for gas turbine driven equipment in all applications. The Committee will achieve its objectives by sponsoring technical sessions at the IGTI TURBO EXPO, and by participating in other ASME and IGTI events as deemed appropriate by the Committee.

Subjects under the purview of the Committee include sensors, measurement techniques, data acquisition systems, final control elements, protective systems, software, operator and system interfaces, and system analysis and simulation. Gas turbine applications considered by the Committee include aircraft, vehicular, utility, process, pipeline and marine. To this end, the Committee encourages joint sessions with the user Committees that are responsible for the aforementioned applications.
