The Aircraft Engine Committee's purpose is to provide a forum for the advancement and promotion of knowledge in the field of aircraft gas turbines and related technology. It performs this function through joint effort of its members and other interested persons and organizations to plan, organize, and develop the methods and media by which such knowledge is disseminated.
The objective of the Committee is to advance the understanding of design, operation, and application of gas turbine machinery to aircraft; to promote the exchange of information about aircraft gas turbines; and to coordinate the preparation and dissemination of technical data and literature about developments and activities in the field of aircraft gas turbines through the publication, presentation, and discussion of technical papers and reports.
