Michael has been with IGTI since January 2006, where he oversees the ongoing activities of all IGTI staff in accomplishing the organization's mission. Prior to joining IGTI, he served as Executive Director for the Association of Facilities Engineering (AFE). Michael has also served as Executive Vice President of the National Environmental Balancing Bureau (NEBB), Senior Director of Education and Training at the American Traffic Safety Services Association (Fredericksburg, Va.), and provided management consulting services as a senior associate at Bergstralh-Shaw-Newman. He has a BA in Industrial Education and Communications from Brigham Young University.

Charity received her M.B.A. from The Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College and has more than 12 years experience in association management. Most recently she was the Vice President of Educational Programs at The Institute of Internal Auditors. Additionally she has held the positions of Vice President of Relationship Management and Vice President of Research. Charity is a member of the American Society of Association Executives and served on the Membership Section Council.

Shirley possesses a master’s degree in education from the State University of New York College at Buffalo and has more than 18 years experience in adult training and development. She was previously Director of Events & Professional Development for BOMA (Building Owners & Managers Association) Atlanta, and prior to that spent 17 years at TAPPI (Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry), where she also served as Events & Professional Development Manager.

Stephanie has a B.A. in Sociology from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. She has been with IGTI since August 2004. Stephanie's main responsibilities include the organization and oversight of the technical paper process and logistics for Turbo Expo and the coordination of the Gas Turbine Users Symposium.

Kristin has been with IGTI since February 2006. Kristin was previously with Special Olympics Texas for over 10 years serving as the Director of Program Training. She oversees the management of the Turbo Expo exposition, the IGTI sponsorship program, as well as the promotions and communications related to IGTI events, programs, member services, and products. Kristin is currently serving as a Director on the Board for the Southeastern Chapter of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events.

Rebecca has a B.A. in Journalism from Carson-Newman College. She has been with IGTI since December 2006. She oversees the Global Gas Turbine News and the IGTI Web site, as well as providing writing and editing assistance for all IGTI print and electronic materials.

Prior to joining ASME/IGTI, Martha held the position of Operations Manager at Staffing Resources, Inc. She has a strong and diverse background that includes nearly 18 years at the Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry (TAPPI), in which she held positions in Promotions, Publishing, Communications, Technical Programs, and Meeting Planning. She came highly recommended by both her peers and volunteers, who bestowed upon her the 2006 TAPPI Engineering Division Leadership and Service Award. Martha is responsible for IGTI’s accounting/financial support functions, as well as managing general office administration.

Smita graduated from Georgia State University with a degree in Marketing and a Certification in Hospitality with a Specialization in Trade Shows and Events. Her recent experience also includes providing administrative support to conferences and expositions staff, coordinating events, and assisting with event staging. Smita will provide general support to the IGTI Conferences & Expositions staff, assisting in the coordination and staging of conferences, expositions, and other events. |
